    Hello,
I am interested in buying a ukelele & learning how to play it. The idea of playing in an Orchestra is appealing. Please let me have full details of your group.
    Best wishes,
    John Houghton–Moss

Hello John thank you for your message! Great news that you want to buy a ukulele and join a group. It will change your life!
The group is suitable for all abilities although total beginners may feel a bit out of their depth if they have no experience of playing an instrument in the past. But everyone learns differently. You’d be welcome to come along and see how you find it – first session is free. We meet every Wednesday (although not April 8th and 15th) 8pm – 9:30pm at The New Highwood. It is £6 per session and I provide all the sheet music. It’s a really friendly group and we play all sorts of songs. I’d recommend buying a ukulele from The Music Room in Cleckheaton or Hobgoblin in Leeds – don’t but one off the internet – you must try them out as there are different sizes (Soprano, Concert and Tenor) – many men play Tenors as there is more room on the fretboard.
If you have any further queries please email me direct jen@bighooha.co.uk (it’s more reliable is all!!)
I look forward to hearing from you/meeting you soon
      Jen
