22nd May 2013 – a sunny evening in Roundhay…

We had a lovely session in the evening sunshine yesterday and really enjoyed playing together. we worked on some songs we have introduced over the last few weeks… including

BROWN EYED GIRL (RUG)

THE HOUSE OF THE RISING SUN (RUG)

ALOHA OE (rug)  – keep practising that strum pattern! remember that your strumming hand shouldn’t be moving any differently – just dampening the strings on it’s way down

DON’T WORRY BE HAPPY (RUG)

You Are My Sunshine RUG

STAND BY ME – Ben E King

and we also looked at a new song (well, new to us!)

TWIST AND SHOUT (RUG)

which already sounded so great!

so keep your garden themed song ideas coming in for our first gig on 23rd june. it’s a REAP event and i’s raising money for St Gemma’s. more details to follow!

so happy practising and see you next wednesday…and please get in touch with any queries or questions you may have.

ta ra for now
